SHORT BIO

Dr. Weisi Lu is an associated professor of the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-Sen University. Dr. Lu received her Bachelor and Ph.D degree from Sun Yat-sen University. She completed her training through a National joint-Ph.D program in Baylor College of Medicine, US (2011-2014) and went to Dr. Peter Carmeliet’s lab in Leuven University, Belgium as a visiting scholar in 2018. Dr. Lu mainly focuses on studying the signaling pathways such as PDGFs in physiological and pathological angiogenesis. She has published first- or corespondent author papers in journals including Sci Trans Med, Cancer Cell, Angiogenesis, Mol Asp Med, Cell Mol Life Sci, Pharmacol Res, and Stem cell research and therapy (total IF >116)
